Knowing the nutrients that are present within your plant will help guide a fertilization program as well as show results. A plant’s ability to take up nutrients is dependent on numerous factors like soil compaction, soil temp, soil moisture and many others. Soil Testing is the beginning to improving turf and plant health but tissue testing lets you know if the necessary results are being reached. It provides us with the actual levels of nutrients inside the plant. In combination with soil testing, we can determine the actual amounts of fertilizer being applied and then compare those numbers to the actual levels inside the plant. This will enable us to structure a program to help create a more balanced approach.
